About the position

The Maintenance Mechanic III position at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is responsible for the daily management of maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, and operations of all physical plant equipment, clinical engineering equipment, and grounds. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and safety in patient care, requiring a strong knowledge of various systems including electrical, mechanical, control, electronic, cooling/heating, and emergency power systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance of physical plant equipment.
  • Oversee operations of clinical engineering equipment and grounds.
  • Utilize knowledge of electrical, mechanical, control, electronic, cooling/heating, and emergency power systems for maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in addition and renovation projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Trade school or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a commercial power plant setting, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Working knowledge of cooling/heating systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, control systems, electronic systems, and emergency power systems.
