About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at the Melrose cheese manufacturing facility. This role involves working with various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Strong troubleshooting skills and logical thinking are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment in the facility.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls.
• Ensure the safety of oneself and co-workers at all times.
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure it remains operational.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance requirements by following diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Adapt to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to meet goals.

Requirements

• 1 year of prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with dairy experience being a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment performance and fault detection.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Reliability in completing tasks by deadlines and adapting to changes.
