About the position
The Maintenance Mechanic position at Aerotek involves conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on various production equipment within a 24/7 operational environment. The role requires both teamwork and independent work, with a focus on maintaining conveyor systems, electrical components, and other machinery critical to food production. Technicians will also be responsible for tracking repairs and communicating maintenance needs to management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
- Repair and maintain conveyor systems, electrical components, gear boxes, VFD's, motors, and pumps.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Track repairs made and communicate with management regarding priority maintenance needs.
- Perform LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, PLC troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
Requirements
- Troubleshooting machinery with and without documentation.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and tracking maintenance on machines.
- Proficiency in using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and understand ladder logic.
- Experience in sanitary welding and controls.
- Robotics experience.
- Previous experience in food production.
