About the position

The Maintenance Mechanic II at Amentum is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and buildings. This role requires practical skills and knowledge in various trades, including painting, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and masonry. The position involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, conducting repairs, and ensuring the functionality of facilities and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and identify causes of equipment malfunctions.
• Order repair parts and supplies as needed.
• Inform supervisor of repairs covered under warranty or defects in parts/workmanship.
• Use specifications, blueprints, schematics, photographs, and technical manuals in performance of duties.
• Load material on and off of skids, pallets, and stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare reports.
• Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
• Make preventive maintenance adjustments to equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of general maintenance, construction, and/or building maintenance and repair experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime, varying hours, and/or rotating shifts required.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
