About the position

The Maintenance Mechanic position at Aerotek involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled repairs and modifications on equipment and parts. The role requires reading and interpreting various technical drawings and schematics, as well as working with advanced control systems and tools. Effective communication and adherence to safety regulations are essential components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and modifications of existing or new parts or equipment.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, PLC, and pneumatic drawings and schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Work with PCs/PLCs, motion control, AC/DC and servo drive systems, instrumentation, control logic, motor control, and ladder logic.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, all problems and solutions as necessary.
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools, gauges, and meters.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment, machines, and the facility.
  • Comply with all safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, motion control systems, and motor control.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AC/DC and servo drive systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a maintenance environment.
