About the position
As a Maintenance Mechanic at Reworld, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems that support the industrial disposal process. Your responsibilities will include performing planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maintain operational effectiveness. You will collaborate with various teams to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, ensuring that all maintenance activities are documented accurately.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime.
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages in collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
- Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime.
- Utilize Reworld's maintenance documentation program to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and perform other required activities.
- Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices.
- Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
