About the position
The Maintenance Mechanic at Land O'Lakes is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within the Melrose cheese manufacturing facility. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The technician will utilize strong troubleshooting skills to address equipment malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance to keep machinery operational.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment in the facility.
- Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls.
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure proper performance.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements following diagrams and manufacturer's instructions.
- Ensure the safety of oneself and co-workers at all times.
Requirements
- 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with dairy experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong logical-thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work well with others to meet team goals.
