About the position

The Maintenance Operations Analyst position at Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES) is designed for individuals looking to enhance their skills and build a career in a dynamic business environment. This role is integral to supporting large-scale government operations by utilizing advanced technology. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring the NII RPM Operations Center (NROC) electronic dashboard and taking various actions based on the data observed. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in system analysis techniques and procedures, particularly in the context of maintenance operations. In this role, the analyst will monitor the electronic NROC dashboard, performing fact-finding and analyses as assigned. They will apply established procedures to assess the nature of the system and determine feasibility. The analyst will be vigilant for alerts from the NROC dashboard, analyzing these alerts to decide whether to initiate work orders. This includes communicating with relevant parties, such as the port or PNNL, and continuing to monitor issues until resolved. The analyst will also be responsible for initiating work orders and ensuring their completion, adapting guides to specific situations, and resolving problems according to established practices. The position requires a high degree of independence, as incumbents will work autonomously while ensuring their work meets requirements for timeliness and efficiency. Although there are no supervisory responsibilities, the role is critical in maintaining operational effectiveness within the organization. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the electronic NROC dashboard and carries out fact-finding and analyses as assigned.
  • Applies established procedures taught where the nature of the system and feasibility have been decided.
  • Watches for alerts from the NROC dashboard, analyzes the alerts to determine whether a work order should be initiated, and takes appropriate action.
  • Initiates work orders and follows up on those work orders until completion.
  • Works independently, adapts guides to specific situations, resolves problems and deviations according to established practices, and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available.
  • Completes work may be reviewed for conformance to requirements, timeliness, and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in a general Help Desk or Customer Service position, preferably in a maintenance environment.
  • Experience with NII equipment is preferred.
  • Must pass a CBP ground Investigation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must have analyzation skills to synthesize multiple inputs and arrive at an answer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MAXIMO is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work shift work that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
