The Maintenance Operations Control Duty Manager at PSA Airlines plays a crucial role in overseeing the Maintenance Operations Control center, ensuring that all maintenance control activities and personnel are effectively managed. This position is pivotal in making operational decisions that support the recovery of aircraft, thereby facilitating the daily operations of the airline. The Duty Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering, as well as other senior management, to promote a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance throughout the organization. In this role, the Duty Manager will provide leadership and training to the maintenance control staff, ensuring that the team delivers superior customer service. The responsibilities include overseeing all activities within the maintenance control center, which encompasses maintenance planning, AOG (Aircraft on Ground) desk coordination, and fleet administration. The Duty Manager will also be responsible for the final approval of required OCF (Operational Control Flight) and ferry flights, acting as the single point of contact for maintenance leadership regarding operational information. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Duty Manager will work with maintenance facility leadership during irregular operations (IROP) and out-of-service events. They will manage and report all irregular maintenance operations to senior leadership and ensure the safe and efficient return of out-of-service aircraft. The role also involves leading cross-departmental meetings and conference calls, authoring and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for Maintenance Control Operations, and developing strategic initiatives to enhance maintenance operations performance and efficiency. The Duty Manager must ensure that maintenance performance meets regulatory requirements and is conducted in accordance with PSA manuals. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing corrective actions following any non-compliance events or operational incidents. Additionally, the Duty Manager will interface with the OCC (Operations Control Center) Duty Manager to provide solutions that best support airline operations and lead key maintenance department initiatives to meet and exceed established performance goals. This position is also accountable for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
