About the position

The Maintenance position at Ranch House Senior Living is a part-time role focused on ensuring the upkeep and repair of the community's physical structure, equipment, and grounds. The role is essential for maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while adhering to safety and corporate policies.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community's personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report allegations of resident abuse/neglect to the Executive Director, RCC or Unit Manager.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Maintain community grounds in an orderly fashion, free from hazards, debris, and clutter.
• Ensure sidewalks and drives are free from snow, ice, leaves, and in good repair.
• Maintain the building including painting, replacing worn tiles, and repairing furniture and fixtures.
• Ensure the electrical system and appliances are in good working condition.
• Maintain plumbing in working order and good repair.
• Organize fire drills and ensure fire safety equipment is inspected regularly.
• Maintain community equipment including washers, dryers, boilers, and lawn mowers.
• Assist staff in moving residents and furniture as needed.
• Provide 24-hour availability of service for maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding safety and building codes.
• Ensure compliance with Residents' Rights.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Ability to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must use a transfer/gait belt or obtain assistance when lifting or carrying objects over 25 pounds.
