About the position
The Maintenance Person at The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso is responsible for performing upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning to ensure that facilities are tidy and functional. This role requires a reliable individual with a keen eye for detail and solid technical knowledge in maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks and filling gaps on walls.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Install appliances and equipment.
- Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing the lawn and collecting trash.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm).
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's License
- Electrical experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC
- Experience with hand tools
- Good communication skills
- Entry-level experience in maintenance
Nice-to-haves
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship is preferred
- 1 year of maintenance experience is preferred
