About the position

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving the maintenance planning and scheduling processes within the roasting plant, tea, and liquid production facilities. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring the accuracy of maintenance records, and collaborating with production leadership to optimize maintenance resources and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Fully scope the extent of maintenance work needed for repairs or preventive/predictive activities on plant and equipment.
  • Develop cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work.
  • Ensure the purchase of all necessary parts, equipment, services, and documentation for maintenance work.
  • Write maintenance procedures to promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database (PMC).
  • Keep technical information on processes, plant, and equipment up to date.
  • Convert the organization's asset management and maintenance strategy into workplace activities.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis investigations.
  • Apply good stores management practices and parts management for reliability.
  • Schedule maintenance work in conjunction with the production plan.
  • Capture and report key performance indicators for equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
  • Improve planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management, and job reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources effectively.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources in conjunction with production leadership.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors onsite, ensuring compliance with SQF and plant safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Sound understanding of equipment reliability concepts (MTTF, MTBF, RCCA, TPM, etc.).
  • Solid appreciation of risk management strategies related to plant and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with CMMS systems and their capabilities.
  • Knowledge of plant and maintenance safety practices.
  • 3 years of previous experience with Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of inventory management requirements and systems for compliance with financial controls.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance KPIs and data interpretation to drive results.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook & Visio.
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD LT.
