About the position

The Maintenance Planner at INEOS Oligomers is responsible for ensuring that maintenance work is planned and scheduled effectively and safely. This role involves collaborating with various teams to minimize equipment downtime and optimize resource use while adhering to the company's Responsible Care principles. The Maintenance Planner will report to the TAR & Capital Supervisor and play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards within the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely by following all Company and Site policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Review and validate clarity of work requests.
  • Visit job locations to verify work request requirements.
  • Develop work plans that minimize equipment downtime and maximize resource efficiency.
  • Identify material needs and define the scope of work for contract services.
  • Produce cost estimates and request budget approval as required.
  • Initiate procurement and track the status of materials and contract services.
  • Produce job packages and documentation.
  • Develop standard plans and maintain a library of plans.
  • Initiate the review of plan performance for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly planning & scheduling meetings.
  • Maintain backlog and plan & schedule related KPI measures.
  • Act as Maintenance Department contact for organizing night and weekend callout support on a rotating schedule.
  • Organize weekly work order schedules and build daily schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure work schedules align with business plan objectives in consultation with Maintenance and Production leadership.
  • Identify potential constraints and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track compliance of PPM task completion and advise the Maintenance Department of issues impacting effectiveness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in an industrial maintenance environment, specifically in a petrochemical plant or refinery.
  • Strong working knowledge of process and personal safety practices in the petrochemical industry.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of industrial plant instrument, electrical, and analyzer equipment inspection, calibration, and repair techniques.
  • Experience with maintenance work order scheduling software like Primavera and SAP.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with rotating equipment installation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation application, installation, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Experience using HART communicator and documenting calibrator for instrument verification.
  • Knowledge of testing and maintenance of VFDs, transformers, and electric motors.
