About the position

The Maintenance & Reliability Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of natural gas treating and processing equipment. This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, conducting inspections, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability. The technician will work a two-week on, two-week off schedule, focusing on maintaining safety and efficiency in a challenging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts and components to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Analyze technical data and use diagnostic tools to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement reliability strategies such as predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring.
  • Recommend and implement modifications and upgrades to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance findings, and reliability metrics.
  • Assist in creating maintenance procedures and documentation for equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow company and industry standards for equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Participate in safety training programs and promote a safety-conscious culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years repairing and maintaining natural gas equipment (chilled water gas conditioning skids, reciprocating natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.)
  • High School diploma, skilled labor certificate or equivalent
  • Willingness to work in exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, precipitation, in addition to working at heights.
  • Ability to stoop, sit, stand, or be on their feet for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds up to 10 times per shift.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
