The Maintenance Repair Tech II position at the Oklahoma Military Department involves a variety of responsibilities related to the construction, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of state buildings, grounds, and other properties. This role does not require a specific license but demands a solid understanding of various building trades and the ability to perform a wide range of tasks. The technician will assist in the construction or renovation of buildings, ensuring that plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, and other essential services are maintained and repaired as needed. The technician will perform carpentry work, which includes constructing and renovating buildings, erecting scaffolds, and maintaining various structures. Responsibilities also include altering and repairing doors, floors, windows, and other fixtures, as well as maintaining roofs. The role requires the installation, replacement, and repair of plumbing fixtures, minor repairs to laundry and kitchen equipment, and troubleshooting electrical systems. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently. In addition to these tasks, the technician will construct and maintain concrete foundations, retaining walls, and other similar projects. Operating and maintaining various types of construction and maintenance equipment is also a key part of this role. The position requires physical stamina, as the technician must be able to lift heavy objects, work in extreme weather conditions, and climb ladders and stairs.
