The Maintenance Repairer 1/2 position within the Office of Management and Finance is responsible for performing minor repairs and general maintenance on buildings, facilities, grounds, and light equipment. This role is essential for ensuring that all state agencies maintain a safe and functional environment. The position may be filled as either a Probational or Job Appointment, and the starting salary will depend on the education and experience of the selected applicant. The Maintenance Repairer may work on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical repairs. The role requires close supervision from a Maintenance Foreman or higher-level administrator, and it does not involve supervising others. As a Maintenance Repairer, you will be expected to make minor repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities, maintain furniture and equipment, and perform basic maintenance on marine vessels. This includes tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters on air conditioning systems, maintaining small engines, and performing basic road maintenance. The position also involves working with a variety of tools and equipment, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
