About the position

The Maintenance Scheduler at St. Tammany Health System is responsible for directing the daily activities of maintenance personnel to ensure effective completion of preventative, routine, and corrective maintenance tasks. This role involves coordinating shift schedules, managing work orders, and maintaining inventory levels while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of maintenance personnel for preventative, routine, and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate shift schedules using TMS work order system.
• Maintain schedules to support compliance with corrective and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Submit purchase orders for materials, equipment, and supplies according to company policies.
• Receive and check in orders, maintaining stock levels.
• Cross-train with Support Services Coordinator to provide coverage during absences.
• Advise leadership on maintenance trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and manage monthly preventative maintenance schedules for maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance tasks using TMS work order system.
• Generate reports using TMS CMMS system and Workday financial for management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience with Windows Excel and CMMS programs (TMS experience preferred).
• Proficient in operating a PC and office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
• Detail-oriented with procurement processes and inventory management skills.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
