About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Brookfield Properties is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities in a multi-unit residential property. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, performing mechanical repairs, and ensuring the property is well-maintained to provide quality service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates efforts of the maintenance staff, including training and performance appraisal.
• Performs or assigns work to repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning.
• Conducts routine to difficult carpentry duties, including installation and repair of doors and drywall.
• Handles routine to difficult electrical duties, including inspecting and testing lighting and wiring.
• Manages routine to difficult plumbing duties, including unclogging sinks and repairing faucets.
• Interfaces with contractors and vendors, creating specifications and securing bids for services.

Requirements

• High School diploma / GED required.
• 3 - 4 years of experience in commercial or multi-unit property maintenance required.
• 5 - 7 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• HVAC certification preferred depending on property needs.
• Valid Driver's License preferred depending on property needs.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Appliance certification preferred.
