About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing maintenance support and ensuring resident satisfaction in a multifamily setting. This role involves preparing market-ready apartments, responding to service requests, and maintaining the property to deliver superior customer service. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring quality service and personal attention to residents, while also managing various maintenance functions and adhering to safety and legal standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all market-ready apartments, including painting, carpet cleaning/repair, general repairs, and housekeeping.
  • Completes resident service requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of various maintenance functions including plumbing, pool maintenance, air conditioning, heating, general carpentry, appliance repair, electrical work, painting, caulking, snow removal, and life safety issues.
  • Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog parks to keep them clean and safe.
  • Performs on-call emergency procedures as required.
  • Reports maintenance issues affecting the budget, such as life safety, vacant repairs, property damages, and common area needs to the manager.
  • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and records such activities.
  • Knowledgeable of state, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance.
  • Attends and participates in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield and local jurisdictions.
  • Provides superior customer service and represents the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
  • 3+ years of related experience in maintenance.
  • EPA 608 - Minimum Type II certification or CPO, or local city required certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret data.
