About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is responsible for managing a team of Shift Leads to ensure optimal performance and equipment availability in a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery manufacturing facility. This role involves overseeing preventative maintenance, repair of manufacturing equipment, and supporting engineering and manufacturing activities. The Supervisor will also be responsible for developing maintenance schedules, ensuring safety procedures, and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality in a dynamic, 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Shift Leads to ensure high performance and equipment availability.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair on electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance and calibration schedules for all tools and machinery.
  • Support engineering and manufacturing activities including 5S and Lean manufacturing.
  • Act as an advisor to Shift Leads to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
  • Verify completion of task execution and communicate detailed work plans.
  • Review activity reports and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Establish and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of related trade experience managing a maintenance department in a highly automated factory.
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing a maintenance workforce of 50+ technicians in a 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to lead electromechanical and instrumentation technicians.
  • Lean Six Sigma and continuous process improvement experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
