Carillon Senior Living is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing, coordinating, and supervising various engineering, maintenance, and repair tasks involving vehicles, equipment, buildings, and utility systems, ensuring that services are provided in an efficient, cost-effective, and expedient manner. This role requires personal contact with all levels of Carillon staff, residents, visitors, and outside agencies. The Maintenance Supervisor will embrace a culture of hospitality, which includes greeting residents, employees, and guests warmly, treating everyone with respect, anticipating needs, and maintaining high levels of professionalism. Daily responsibilities include fixing wall covers, floor covers, and some furniture and fixtures; performing light plumbing work, minor electrical repairs, and appliance repairs; assisting in planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance staff; inspecting equipment for repair or maintenance needs; completing assigned work orders daily; performing painting and refurbishing projects; and installing locks and tracking keys for the entire campus. The supervisor will also troubleshoot and install PERS call systems, install phone, cable, and network lines, and assist residents with daily non-health care needs. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, both oral and written, and be skilled in the use of appropriate machinery, tools, and construction supplies. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in plant and/or residential maintenance. Supervisory experience is preferred, and technical schooling or background is a plus. Responsibilities

  • Perform duties such as fixing wall covers, floor covers, and some furniture and fixtures.
  • Conduct light plumbing work, minor electrical repairs, and appliance repairs.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance staff.
  • Inspect equipment to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness.
  • Complete assigned work orders daily according to work order system policy.
  • Perform painting and refurbishing projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
  • Install locks, create keys, re-key cylinders, and track outstanding keys for the entire campus.
  • Troubleshoot and install PERS call system.
  • Install phone, cable, and network lines.
  • Fix plumbing and lighting fixtures.
  • Test, fix, install, and replace appliances.
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Hang pictures, move furniture, and assist residents with daily non-health care needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in plant and/or residential maintenance necessary.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Skilled in the use of all appropriate machinery, tools, and construction supplies.
  • Understanding of general construction and engineering practices.
