About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department at AdventHealth Orlando. This role involves supervising staff, managing maintenance programs, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the facility's maintenance activities. The supervisor will also assist in planning and coordinating repair activities, maintaining inventory, and responding to maintenance inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily department activities.
• Provides leadership support to all department personnel.
• Monitors and modifies the department's Preventative Maintenance program.
• Monitors and modifies the department's Corrective Work Order program.
• Initiates, coordinates, and supervises contractor/vendor repair activities.
• Maintains supply levels of established shop inventory.
• Investigates and troubleshoots non-routine repair work orders.
• Makes frequent rounds of the buildings and grounds to identify maintenance repair opportunities.
• Responds to all inquiries regarding maintenance, repairs, and other department activities.
• Advises Manager and Facilities Director of all equipment breakdowns or failures and major building repair needs.
• Performs assigned corrective maintenance tasks.
• Completes preventative maintenance assignments according to scheduled intervals.

Requirements

• Five years of general and building maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida State driver's license.
• Forklift/work-platform certification.
