About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at State Heat Treating Company is responsible for overseeing and coordinating both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and installing various types of machinery, while also managing a preventive maintenance program and ensuring safety compliance. The supervisor will train and assess maintenance technicians, ensuring high safety and quality standards are met in a heat-treating environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled equipment and building maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install equipment as needed.
• Create, implement, and operate a predictive and preventive maintenance program for the facility and plant equipment.
• Manage maintenance of Automatic Minster Press-lines, manual presses, robotic welders, and other machinery.
• Oversee the maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically driven equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards by managing lock-out/tag-out procedures and training personnel on safe equipment operation.
• Re-apply safety labels and markings throughout the facility and manage associated inventory of supplies.
• Conduct performance assessments of maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of prior experience in a related role, preferably in a metal stamping and welding environment.
• Experience in managing maintenance processes and teams.
