About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor position at JLL is a critical role responsible for overseeing the Facility Management Program. The candidate will need a strong background in Elpo Paint System and Conveyor Knowledge, as they will manage UAW Trades Scheduling for Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance Work, and Project Workload. This position requires direct supervision of operational support personnel, including Maintenance Technicians, Mobile Equipment Technicians, General Housekeeping Personnel, and Industrial Cleaning & Water Blasting Personnel. The Maintenance Supervisor will also fully manage vendor contracts as required, ensuring that all maintenance and operational tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. In addition to managing personnel, the Maintenance Supervisor will assist in addressing any ongoing issues and support Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Fleet Management personnel with daily operations, especially during weekend production. Regular communication with building occupants regarding the status of projects is essential, as is following up to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and on time. The role also involves providing necessary coverage for Managers during training and vacation periods, meeting regularly with Site Managers to discuss outstanding issues, and investigating, planning, managing, and implementing projects assigned by the Site Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor will be involved in various operational areas, including general housekeeping, industrial cleaning, mechanical systems, power systems, building systems, life/safety systems, environmental health and safety, and fleet management. This includes tasks such as planning Body Shop Cell cleaning, performing scheduled preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. The role requires strong organizational and management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively lead the team and manage projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage UAW Trades Scheduling for Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance Work, and Project Workload.
  • Supervise operational support personnel including Maintenance Technicians and Mobile Equipment Technicians.
  • Fully manage vendor contracts as required.
  • Assist in addressing ongoing issues and support daily operations during weekend production.
  • Communicate regularly with building occupants regarding project statuses.
  • Follow up to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and on time.
  • Provide coverage for Managers during training and vacation periods.
  • Meet regularly with Site Managers regarding outstanding issues.
  • Investigate, plan, manage, and implement projects assigned by the Site Manager.
  • Perform safe operating tours to ensure proper operation of facilities.
  • Solve building operational issues, including supervision of outside contractors/vendors.
  • Assist with inspections and order housekeeping supplies as necessary.
  • Plan and assist in industrial cleaning tasks such as sludge system cleaning and dry-ice blasting.
  • Manage HVAC/R systems, including preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Oversee power systems, including electrical substations and emergency power systems.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience required.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to provide direction to staff.
  • Computer skills are a must.
