About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Lynd Management Group, LLC is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team to ensure the repair and upkeep of property facilities and apartment units. This role involves managing service requests, maintaining market-ready apartments, and ensuring the property meets appearance standards. The supervisor will also handle vendor relations and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing market-ready apartments including painting, flooring, and general repairs.
  • Schedule subordinates to ensure timely completion of work orders and make-ready units.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor work to ensure completion of assigned tasks.
  • Inform the Property Manager of necessary repairs requiring outside contractors.
  • Monitor and maintain the property’s preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions and record findings in the Maintenance Log.
  • Conduct regular move-in unit inspections and check all appliances and fixtures.
  • Respond to resident service requests and assign them to maintenance staff.
  • Complete maintenance work order paperwork and communicate status with the Leasing Office.
  • Perform on-call emergency work order service requests as needed.
  • Oversee and delegate the on-call schedule to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain grounds and common areas in collaboration with landscaping vendors.
  • Keep accurate inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations in property management.
  • Assist the Property Manager with inspections and check-ins/outs.
  • Perform regular inspections of units and common areas for maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance and mechanical repair.
  • EPA Type III or Universal license required.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
  • Trade school education or military training is a plus.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, cabinetry, carpeting, pools, and appliance repair.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in HVAC is preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws concerning multi-family housing and Fair Housing.
