About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor at LR Management plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, maintenance, and overall operational needs of our multifamily housing communities. This position requires a proactive individual who can work closely with the Property Manager to coordinate various maintenance tasks and ensure that the community is well-maintained and meets the expectations of our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance supervision within the multi-family apartment industry, with at least three years of relevant experience. In this role, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a range of maintenance activities, including but not limited to HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, appliance repairs, and general carpentry. The supervisor will also be tasked with managing curb appeal and landscaping efforts to enhance the community's aesthetic appeal. A key aspect of the job involves planning and ordering supplies to maintain an adequate inventory, as well as scheduling maintenance work for vacant apartments to ensure timely completion. The Maintenance Supervisor will also manage larger capital projects, which includes bidding, supervising contractors and subcontractors, and reviewing completed work to ensure it meets our high standards. Problem-solving skills are essential, as the supervisor will need to address staffing issues, vendor relations, and other challenges that may arise. Additionally, the ability to set goals, create actionable plans, and work within a budget is critical for success in this position. Strong computer skills, particularly with Yardi, are necessary for effective time management and meeting deadlines. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication with management and office staff. Overall, this position requires a dedicated individual who can work well under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to a teamwork-oriented culture.
