About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Nemak is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Maintenance department to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimal equipment downtime. This position requires a proactive approach to managing resources effectively, ensuring that all maintenance activities align with production goals. The supervisor will play a crucial role in coordinating maintenance schedules, managing work requests, and ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance protocols. The Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for reporting and verifying equipment-related issues, supervising the workforce, and ensuring that all maintenance work is conducted safely and in accordance with company policies. In addition to managing daily operations, the Maintenance Supervisor will attend production meetings to discuss responsibilities and review maintenance documentation related to equipment shutdowns. This role demands a strong focus on detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both the maintenance team and production staff. The supervisor will also be tasked with identifying and utilizing the necessary resources to complete maintenance tasks efficiently, thereby contributing to the overall productivity of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Aids MPS daily with information on work requests, pm compliance, backlog management, and scheduling of future work.
  • Reports and verifies equipment related problems to operations and supervises activities of the work force to achieve best result.
  • Identifies and utilizes resources needed to get the job done in an effective manner.
  • Ensures all work is performed in a safe manner and maintains company's ground rules.
  • Attends production meetings to review each area of responsibilities.
  • Reviews and maintains maintenance of all shutdown documentation.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in CAD.
  • Experience in die design.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Journeyman toolmaker experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with flow simulation software is desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
