About the position

Incert Solutions is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage a variety of maintenance activities, including plumbing and carpentry repairs, appliance installation, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess significant work experience, have their own tools, and demonstrate solid technical knowledge. A keen eye for detail, reliability, and self-motivation are essential traits for success in this role. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner, while also maintaining a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, coworkers, and vendors. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, evaluating systems or facilities to determine necessary maintenance or repairs. This includes assessing building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules, developing maintenance procedures and schedules, and assisting with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects. The role also involves performing work order repairs, which may include fixing broken locks, cabinetry repairs, sheetrock repair, plumbing repairs, and more. Additionally, the supervisor will check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues, install appliances and equipment, conduct unit inspections, and manage maintenance inventory. Ensuring the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms and smoke detectors, is also a critical responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
  • Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
  • Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
  • Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performs work order repairs as assigned, including repairing broken locks, cabinetry repairs, sheetrock repair, plumbing repairs, etc.
  • Checks control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
  • Installs appliances and equipment.
  • Conducts unit inspections.
  • Responsible for maintenance inventory.
  • Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
  • Checks functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers).
  • Collaborates with vendors and other professionals conducting work on-site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or other similar position required.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • EPA or CAMT certification preferred.
  • HVAC certification.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools.
  • Ability to read basic technical manuals.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity.
