About the position

Under general supervision, this position performs functions related to dispatching, tracking and coordinating work requests for university maintenance operations including general office and clerical tasks as well as performs duties as directed by the senior locksmith.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and transmits work requests to proper departments via work orders and/or radio transmissions for front office and key shop.
  • Answers the telephone, routes calls and takes messages.
  • Utilizes Nuvolo computer software to generate work orders and track work status.
  • Serves as backup coordinator for all fleet operations, fleet record management and assists with employees' time clock records.
  • Utilizing Simple K software, issues keys and checks in keys as well as ensures that all temporarily checked out keys are returned and accounted for at the end of the day.
  • Maintains accountability for all master and specialty keys.
  • Prepares quarterly and annual key audits of all departments, prepares annual key recertification report.
  • Performs work order audits weekly.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Two years of clerical or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and have a driving record acceptable to the University's insurance company.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
