This position provides proactive leadership, direction, single point accountability and technical expertise required to achieve and sustain optimum reliability, maintainability, and useful life for the manufacturing facility. The primary role of this position is to improve asset/capacity reliability through the elimination of repetitive failures, technical support of the maintenance function and the management of appropriate Preventive and Predictive Maintenance processes. Night Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM - 2-2-3 schedule with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve day-to-day technical issues on production lines, ensuring equipment and machinery comply with production procedures and process specifications.
• Repair and maintain production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure reliable operation and adherence to process specifications.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, and malfunctions to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records to identify and address recurring issues.
• Prepare diagrams, drawings, charts, calculations, and reports to define reliability problems and recommend solutions.
• Manage reliability data, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), work order failure code analysis, maintenance of asset hierarchy, bills of materials, and technical library maintenance.
• Advise, train, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
• Manage and optimize Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Facilitate Equipment Criticality strategy formulation and ranking sessions. Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Ensure correct application of Predictive Maintenance technologies on manufacturing assets.
• Develop and implement changes to equipment maintenance plans based on failure modes, historical data, reliability principles, and best practices.
• Work with equipment manufacturers for factory and site acceptance testing.
• Develop short- and long-term plans to mitigate equipment failures.
• Design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks and minor repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing maintenance is required.
• At least 3 years of equipment reliability experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Industrial Electrical Wiring, Mechanical/Electrical Devices, Circuits, Robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and computer-controlled systems.
• Mechanical/Electrical experience in maintaining production equipment in a continuous production environment.
• Experience with the organization and implementation of Maintenance Planning tools.
• Experience in an ISO or documented environment.
• Familiarity with performance management metrics for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
• Proficiency with computer-driven maintenance and planning software.
• Ability to use analysis tools to improve equipment reliability.

• Ability to hear machine operations sounds to detect defective parts, machine failures, and changes in speed and other routine running conditions.
• Manual and finger dexterity.
• Must be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as needed.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and working at heights or in extreme temperatures.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work under stress and flexible schedules.
• Proficient with computers and software programs.
• Perform tasks safely to meet Quality, Service, and Cost goals.
