About the position

As a Lease-Up Maintenance Technician at Elevation 16 Apartments, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our luxury property. Elevation 16 is a brand new build, representing a multi-million dollar investment in the community, and you will be part of a team that is dedicated to maintaining its high standards. Your daily responsibilities will include performing general maintenance and repairs throughout the building. This encompasses a variety of tasks such as minor plumbing repairs, general carpentry, painting, drywall work, and minor appliance repairs. You will also be responsible for conducting unit turns, which involve servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems, replacing old or faulty parts, re-keying locks, and performing interior painting. Addressing residents' work order requests in a timely and professional manner is essential, as is maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best products and pricing for the property. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will interact with various stakeholders, including residents, the Property Manager, Portfolio Manager, office staff, and vendors. Completing all work in a timely and professional manner is expected, and flexibility in your schedule is necessary to respond to after-hours requests as needed. Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs of the building, including minor plumbing repair, general carpentry, painting, drywall, minor appliance repair, and cleaning.
  • Conduct unit turns, servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems, replacing old or faulty parts, re-keying locks, and performing interior painting.
  • Address and follow up on all residents' work order requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and suppliers to produce the best product and pricing for the properties.
  • Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders, including residents, tenants, the Property Manager, Portfolio Manager, office staff, and vendors.
  • Complete all work in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work flexible hours and respond to after-hours requests as necessary.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of general maintenance experience or equivalent training is required.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong vendor management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Washington State and city of Seattle Landlord-Tenant Laws is helpful.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
