About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Mount Carmel is responsible for performing multi-skilled tasks related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general maintenance. This role ensures the safety of visitors and compliance with organizational integrity while maintaining and repairing various systems within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure visitor's safety.
- Overhaul various equipment as required.
- Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Attend all in-service training required by the job position and meet the facility's annual mandatory guidelines for training.
- Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Technical training in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in repair/maintenance of boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and/or general maintenance.
- Knowledgeable with equipment and tools relating to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- Ability to make necessary repairs to walls, ceilings, etc. before painting.
- Ability to make necessary repairs to doors, hardware, and associated components.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to understand how mechanical and electrical systems work in the facility.
- Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.
