About The Position
The Maintenance Technician at Fred W. Ahlemeier Co. is a full-time position responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple properties in St. Louis, MO. The technician will be involved in grounds maintenance, ensuring that sidewalks, parking lots, balconies, and stairwells are clean and well-kept. This includes planting flowers, mowing grass, policing the property for trash, and maintaining receptacles free of debris. The role also involves weed prevention and cleanup, as well as watering grass and flowers, and performing snow removal during winter months. In addition to grounds maintenance, the technician will handle electrical work, which encompasses all phases of installation, repair, and troubleshooting in commercial, industrial, and residential wiring and receptacles. Carpentry tasks will include the installation and repair of cabinets, doors, locks, keys, steps, decks, and drywall, including taping, repair, and texturing. The technician will also be responsible for the repair and installation of furnaces and air conditioning units, as well as all phases of painting and paperhanging. Plumbing duties will involve the installation of sinks, water heaters, and frost-proof sill cocks, along with sweating of copper tubing and working with PVC and ABS pipe installation and repair. The technician will be expected to complete maintenance tickets, maintenance get readies, balcony projects, and other maintenance-related projects as necessary. Additionally, the technician will be on call for 24-hour emergency maintenance approximately 1-2 weeks per month for properties managed by the company, including Cabana Club, Cabana West, and Oakbrook. The technician will report for duties assigned at any of these properties or any others that Fred W. Ahlemeier Co. may acquire or manage.
