About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Horizon Land Management is responsible for maintaining the community grounds and ensuring the upkeep of onsite structures and equipment. This role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to community values, with opportunities for training and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining community grounds including trimming, mowing, and trash pickup
- Landscaping
- Plowing and salting during winter months
- Repairing water and sewer lines as needed
- Performing maintenance on onsite structures, grounds, and equipment
- Assisting in evictions by securing and padlocking homes
- Troubleshooting problem areas
- Responding immediately to emergency calls
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to think outside the box and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to work independently
- Multitasking skills
- Ability to operate large machinery when necessary
- Physical ability to occasionally lift 50lbs or more
- Ability to alternate frequently between walking, crawling, crouching, squatting, climbing, and sitting
Nice-to-haves
- Prior maintenance or groundskeeping experience
- Experience in plumbing and electrical work
