About the position

A Breeden Company Multifamily Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and preparing apartment homes for new residents. This position is essential for ensuring that the properties are in excellent condition and ready for occupancy. The technician will be responsible for efficiently and promptly turning over vacant homes, which includes identifying, inspecting, repairing, replacing, and cleaning the property. The goal is to maintain the quality and appeal of multifamily properties, ensuring a smooth transition for new residents. The technician will perform a diverse range of maintenance tasks, including repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances, troubleshooting and fixing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems, handling HVAC system maintenance, and performing interior and exterior painting. General cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and garden/yard upkeep are also part of the job. The technician must uphold all company policies, goals, and values while representing the community in a professional manner at all times, both on and off the property. In addition to technical skills, strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, co-workers, and senior management. The technician will also contribute to resident retention programs and deliver communication documentation to residents. Physical requirements include prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. On-the-job training is offered to ensure that the technician is well-prepared for their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and promptly turn over vacant homes.
  • Identify, inspect, repair, replace, and clean properties to ensure they are in excellent condition for new residents.
  • Perform a wide range of maintenance duties, including repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances.
  • Troubleshoot and fix plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems.
  • Handle HVAC system maintenance.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting.
  • Conduct general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and yard upkeep.

Requirements

  • Driver's License is required.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary.

  • Ability to operate power equipment and perform physical tasks.
