About The Position

This position involves repairing and maintaining complex electrical and HVAC systems, ensuring their optimal functionality. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing installations, and conducting preventative maintenance on various electrical and mechanical equipment. The technician will work with minimal instructions and is expected to have a strong background in electrical and HVAC systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed as an HVAC Technician or Electrician.
  • Must obtain 1D-Water Operators Licensure within one (1) year of hire date.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Five (5) years' experience as an Electrician or HVAC Technician.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a trade school or community college course of study related to general facility maintenance.
  • Ten (10) years' experience as an Electrician or HVAC Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Repair complex electrical equipment, including automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and alarms.
  • Install electrical equipment with minimal instructions.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and detect and replace defective control modules.
  • Perform complex wiring assignments.
  • Install power, light, electronic, and control circuits.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all HVAC systems.
  • Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and install electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Perform water testing, maintain chemical levels, and document results as assigned.
  • Operate water softener system as assigned.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and conduct tests to pinpoint problems using a range of testing devices.
  • Safely use various hand and power tools.
  • Install new or replacement equipment.
  • Perform routine inspection of facility for safety and disrepair.
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
  • Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues.
  • Repair HVAC systems.
  • Install conduit, mount electrical sockets, and install specialized circuits throughout the building.
