About the position

T. Marzetti Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancaster Colony Corporation, is looking to hire team members for the position of Maintenance Tech at the Sister Schubert's Horse Cave Campus. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for providing maintenance and repair of the plant's machinery, grounds, buildings, and equipment. The starting wage for this position ranges from $35.98 to $41.43 per hour, based on tech level, with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday through Sunday. Responsibilities

• Work respectfully with all team members to ensure safety, quality, production, and support of products and goals.
• Maintain highest standard of safety for all functions and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Perform daily inspections of PPE and power equipment.
• Lead and promote a strong food safety culture within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and other support programs.
• Complete daily paperwork and understand its importance.
• Provide maintenance support to packaging and processing equipment.
• Perform various maintenance tasks including plumbing, welding, and equipment setup.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and accurate troubleshooting ability, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Must obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and good math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret written and verbal directions.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required; Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred.
