About the position
The Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Aerotek involves maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within a large distribution center for a leading e-commerce company. The role focuses on ensuring the functionality of conveyor systems and other mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, while also providing training and mentorship to other technicians. The position offers opportunities for overtime and emphasizes safety and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
- Train employees as needed.
- Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.
- Complete assigned PMs and provide feedback on any improvements that might be needed.
- Install and maintain photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
- Mentor technicians by motivating, providing guidance, and directions to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
- Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.
- Work with teams to complete any additional projects as assigned.
- Complete all safety training as assigned by the Company.
- Comply with all safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with conveyor systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Strong communication skills for training and mentoring others.
- Knowledge of safety programs and compliance.
