About the position

The position involves repairing, maintaining, and rebuilding all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role requires coordination with the production department to minimize the impact on production output and packaging. Responsibilities include responding to repair calls, performing preventative maintenance, assisting with new equipment installation, and maintaining accurate departmental records. The technician will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety requirements and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Coordinate maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging is least affected
  • Respond to calls from production and management to make repairs
  • Perform established preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist with all aspects of new equipment installation
  • Assist management with scheduling maintenance projects
  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records
  • Record all work in Fiix CMMS
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints / schematics
  • Ensure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standards
  • Work with contractors as needed
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of DC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches and electric motors
  • Experience with PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens and Direct Logic
  • Industrial welding experience: repair as well as fabrication, M.I.G., T.I.G.
  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred
