About the position

The Maintenance Technician position at C.H. Guenther & Son LLC is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment, specifically during the second shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems in an automated food processing plant. The technician will work independently and collaboratively to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Conduct electrical repairs on PLC, relay logic, and logic controllers.
• Program PLCs and develop HMIs and SCADA systems.
• Maintain a strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors and drives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to electrical systems.
• Document maintenance activities in the computer maintenance management system.
• Adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.
• Perform mechanical repairs, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on various voltage systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
