About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production line equipment and facilities in a timely manner. This role requires a basic understanding of various systems including robotics, PLCs, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The technician will work in both office and manufacturing environments, ensuring safety and compliance with procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production line equipment in a timely manner.
  • Understand and work with robotics, PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and ladder logic for repairs.
  • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems (up to 480V).
  • Understand hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment.
  • Read blueprints, manuals, schematic drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use electrical test equipment and powered/non-powered tools proficiently.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair facilities and associated equipment.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and take direction from the Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Participate in continued education and learning opportunities.
  • Comply with Lock Out Tag Out procedures and safe practices.
  • Initiate and review continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • G.E.D. or High School Diploma required.
  • Technical School or Apprenticeship training is a plus but not required.
  • Documented On the Job training is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of robotics, PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and ladder logic.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems (up to 480V).
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals, schematic drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment and powered/non-powered tools.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from Supervisor.
  • Self-starter, motivated, trustworthy, and dependable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
