About the position

The Maintenance Technician position at Tailored Brands involves performing a variety of maintenance activities related to automated assembly equipment, machinery, and systems that support production operations in a retail distribution center. The role requires a dependable and motivated individual to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, assemble, repair and maintain equipment, machinery and systems related to both automated and manual production equipment.
  • Perform hands-on major and minor repairs and maintenance of material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
  • Coordinate and participate in preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on machinery and equipment.
  • Operate and use manual tools and powered-shop machinery to maintain equipment functionality.
  • Identify and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using necessary tools to correct issues.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, tools, and supplies inventories in the maintenance shop.
  • Interact effectively in a high-volume team environment while maintaining positive relationships with management and staff.
  • Support and assist in maintaining and improving the maintenance department as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have hands-on maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical background and equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Technical, vocational or trade school education is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills and technical aptitude.
  • Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with various hand and electric tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work-related tasks and special projects.
  • Good communication skills, able to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to work safely by following all maintenance department's standard operating procedures.
  • Flexibility and dependability, willing to work overtime, off-shift, weekends, and holidays.
