About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Gutterglove, Inc. is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of automated assembly machinery, stamping presses, and in-line processing equipment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of machinery, as well as managing spare parts inventory. The technician will work on the second shift, ensuring all safety procedures are followed and contributing to a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing automated assembly processing equipment.
  • Working with machinery and mechanical equipment including servo motors, variable frequency drives, pneumatic & hydraulic components, air compressors, and conveyor systems.
  • Reading diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications for installations.
  • Supporting and leading equipment changeover activities.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments.
  • Providing root cause analysis for major breakdowns including countermeasure proposals.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activity projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for all 5S tasks within the assigned responsibilities.
  • Adhering to all company safety policies including PPE and lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Performing facility maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, construction, HVAC, drywall, and painting.

Requirements

  • 5 years hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance position.
  • PLC programming and data analysis for Allen Bradley controllers, including Factorytalk View, Studio 5000, and FT Linx Gateway.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), pneumatic, and hydraulic components and systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of high-speed automated assembly machinery, conveyors, and stamping equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment technical documents including diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
  • Experience with spare parts management including part sourcing and ordering and inventory management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in high and low temperature environments.
  • Good attendance work history with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Excellent team member and leadership mentality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, robotics, machining, and welding.
  • Forklift experience.
  • CMRP certification.
