About the position

The Maintenance Technician 3 will lead and manage teams of technicians while being responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of material handling equipment, particularly conveyors. This role requires a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, along with leadership skills to train and guide team members. The technician will also provide feedback on preventive maintenance tasks and suggest improvements as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and train teams of technicians
• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors)
• Install and maintain various electrical components such as photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders
• Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs
• Complete assigned PMs and provide feedback on any improvements that might be needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience performing maintenance (mechanical & electrical) on equipment
• 1+ year of experience leading and managing a team within the last 2 years of employment
• Experience with complex systems and industrial equipment, specifically conveyors
• Preferred education includes an associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands-on training related to the maintenance field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries
• Experience running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders
• Background in Automotive, Military, or Industrial Facilities Maintenance.
