About the position

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks full-time Maintenance Technicians for our 3rd shifts at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE. The available shift is from Sunday to Thursday, 10:45 PM to 6:55 AM. The starting pay is $31.63 per hour for candidates with an AAS degree, including a shift differential. There is potential to earn up to $39.94 per hour by participating in our KawaTech Career Advancement program, and Team Leaders can earn an additional $1.25 per hour. The 3rd shift pay differential is also $1.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair defective equipment using prints, service manuals and parts catalogs
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
  • Repair and maintain utilities and facility
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed, including other information such as time in service, parts used/needed and completion status
  • Complete project assignments as requested with consideration to time, cost, quality constraints and expectations
  • Perform duties and attend training as required for being a member of the Emergency Response Team
  • Install and repair electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems
  • Align and secure proper holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines as requested

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Electro-mechanical field or related experience
  • Ability to understand ladder logic, programming software, industrial programmable controllers, electrical power supplies, and computer control
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment working with automated equipment, programmable controllers, electrical and electronic equipment trouble shooting, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment required
