About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the network infrastructure that delivers internet services to over 32 million customers. This position involves working independently outdoors, ensuring optimal network performance by monitoring and repairing signal leakages and maintaining the connections from hub sites to customer premises. The role requires a commitment to providing 24/7 coverage and support, regardless of weather conditions, and emphasizes effective communication with peers and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of cable experience.
• Ability to operate appropriate computer or test equipment.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Effective communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks.
• Experience in telecommunications installation/service.
• Experience with Coax and/or fiber network installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wires that provide internet services from hub sites to customer connection points.
• Monitor and report signal leakages and perform necessary repairs.
• Provide 24/7 coverage to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Work independently outdoors, adapting to varying daily workflows.
• Communicate effectively with peers, customers, and suppliers regarding service issues.
