About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities in optimal electro-mechanical condition to support production strategies and plant reliability. This role involves adhering to safety regulations, performing preventative maintenance, and executing repairs on snack food equipment. The technician will also engage in continuous improvement efforts and utilize predictive maintenance technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safe and productive operation.
- Adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies, including safety procedures.
- Execute and document planned and unplanned work findings during shifts via SAP.
- Perform repairs and installation of parts, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to identify and resolve equipment failures.
- Interpret technical documents and diagrams, including factory manuals and schematics.
- Assist in making improvements to optimize the maintenance program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Some college or formal technical school education preferred, but not required.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ability to pass plant-specific maintenance test.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as ultrasound and thermal imaging.
