Maintenance Technician - Alta Potrero

About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Greystar is responsible for managing and coordinating all technical and mechanical work for a large property or multiple properties. This role ensures that the interior and exterior of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality while adhering to budgetary and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all technical and mechanical work for the property.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met for buildings and grounds.
• Oversee the completion of work orders generated from resident requests for service.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the property.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Develop standards for the cleanliness and appearance of community areas.
• Inspect work performed by service team members and contractors.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Prepare maintenance and capital expense budgets based on financial analysis.
• Complete monthly Preventative Maintenance procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Demonstrate customer service skills by addressing resident concerns and complaints.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of previous maintenance experience or in a related field (grounds/janitorial/handyman/construction).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
• Experience in budget preparation and financial analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in property management maintenance.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
