Maintenance Technician - Eden House

About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Mercy Housing is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers in an affordable housing environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and safety within the property. The position is on-site at Eden House, a family-based property in San Leandro with 116 units, and is part of a mission-driven organization focused on redefining affordable housing.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Clean apartments during the turnover process as directed.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and a hazard-free environment.
• Take direction from the supervisor and follow instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work preferred.
• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.

• Experience with Yardi software.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to carry out tasks thoroughly.
