About the position

The ET3 position involves providing essential support for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of various material handling equipment and systems within a facility. The role emphasizes ensuring optimal operational performance while leading and mentoring junior technicians and helpers. The ET3 is responsible for promoting safety, conducting maintenance tasks, and managing work orders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards and policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, both electrical and mechanical.
• Perform Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance.
• Be familiar with, maintain, and operate boilers and steam systems.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control components/systems such as relay logic, ladder logic diagrams, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders.
• Manage work orders by inputting appropriate data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Conduct maintenance and high-level troubleshooting of automation equipment and associated support systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs using ladder logic and various components and communications modules.
• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials up to 480V.
• Create and execute daily work plans, coordinating with operations and scheduling time with equipment.
• Mentor technicians by providing guidance and direction to help them achieve their goals.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in operation machinery with electrical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in overseeing, delegating, and providing leadership to other employees.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desirable.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable with change and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
• Machine safety awareness and oversight is critical.
